Are you flying at sea with your DJI Phantom 3 and have low stability stability issues? Have you purchased a b-mobile to extend the functionality of your drone and want to configure it properly? No problem. Let’s look at how to disable the DJI Phantom 3 Adv / Pro VPS positioning sensors.

First of all, it sI want to explain in detail what we are talking about.

The Phantom 3 Advanced and Phantom 3 Professional VPS (Vision Positioning System) consists of visual and ultrasonic sensors located in the underlying drone. This system allows the Phantom 3 to maintain its position in indoor flights (in the absence of GPS) and in low-altitude flights. If you have moving surfaces (such as sea waves) or the sensors are covered by additional supports, the drone struggles to maintain a stable position and tends to rise in height.

Let’s see how to disable and enable the VPS system:

Turn on the drone and the radio control.

Launch the DJI Go App and click on the Camera button.

At this point, click on the top menu icon (Pic. 2).

The settings menu will be displayed. Click on the drone icon (Pic. 3).

Go through the various settings available until you find the “Advanced Settings” item (Pic. 4). Click on it.

Let’s go back to the different settings until you find the “Enable Vision Positioning System” (Pic. 5). Click on the button to disable the VPS

We just have to confirm by clicking on OK. (Pic. 7)

We can disable and enable the VPS positioning sensors whenever we want. You just have to go through the steps you’ve seen before.
