Can I import animated characters in OneRay-RT?

At the moment this is not possible. If you want to use animated characters you have to use the ones you have available in the Asset.

Why does OneRay-RT need a powerful video card?

OneRay-RT is a software with an intensive use of the GPU. Most processings use the power of the GPU, not the CPU. Therefore it is very important that the video card has power and enough video RAM to allow OneRay-RT operations at peak efficiency. As a matter of fact a video card that has at least 2 GB of VRAM and GPU with a score equal to or greater than 3000 Mark are required.

Minimum system requirements
OS: 64-bit Windows 7, 8, 10.
CPU: Intel Core i5-4430 3,00Ghz, AMD FX-6300 Six-Core or greater.
System Memory: 4 GB RAM (Complex scenes require more RAM).
Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 965m, Radeon HD 8970M, Quadro K4000 or greater.
Disc Space: 5 GB.
Internet Connection: Request for activation and updates.

Which 3D models can be imported into OneRay-RT?
At the moment OneRay-RT can import all 3D models in an .OBJ format.
Can OneRay-RT be installed on a Mac?

At the moment, OneRay-RT can be installed only on Windows operating systems. You can not install OneRay-RT on OSX. However you can install Windows on your Mac, but you need a Virtual Machine or a boot camp.

Is OneRay-RT difficult to learn how to use?

How can I optimize OneRay-RT on my video card?

Sure! Once you have installed the latest drivers for your video card and it meets the system requirements.

Where can I find Screenshots created in OneRay-RT?

You can see your ScreenShots created in the “…AppData/LocalLow/AnalistGroup/OneRayRT/” folder.
You can open the folder in OneRay-RT clicking “Open repository folder” in the top left OneRay-RT window.

Can I create 3D models in OneRay-RT ?

No. But you can import 3D models in the .OBJ format created with 3D modeling software.

Can I export 3D Models with OneRay-RT?

No, but you can export the terrain present in your scene as an .OBJ model. In order to do so you must use the “Terrain Ext.” tools.

Can I use my Texture for OneRay-RT materials?

Yes. If you want to use a texture with a 3D model in a scene, all you have to do is change the material assigned to the model in the material editor. Remember to create a new material and then change its texture otherwise you will lose the reference to the old texture of that specific material.
